  • providing educational support for children and young people within healthcare facilities.

Association of Africans in UK (AAUK) is an international development Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), working for the public benefit to provide educational books and resource materials to underprivileged schools in countries in Africa. The Charity sends educational books and classroom resources to schools, libraries and universities throughout Africa that will provide all in the community an enriching educational experience and cultivate a love for books. We are already working with the Ministry of Education of OGUN and LAGOS State Government in South West Nigeria to send 500,000 educational books and classroom resources to them. They will be distributing them to local schools and libraries and sending us a full impact report from each beneficiary

The AAUK (CIO) Charity collects, sorts, packs, ships and distributes these fantastic books and classroom resources to nurseries, primary and secondary schools, libraries, universities and colleges, resulting in many hundreds of thousands of children and older students will be provided with these all important text books and will benefit from much greater educational opportunities.  Children who perhaps may have missed out on a comprehensive education will be able to stay on at their school; secure in the knowledge that they now have the books to enable them to continue with their studies. This will help lift many children out of poverty and ignorance and be of lasting benefit to future generations.

These books and classroom resources are being sent to support our policy of providing free education for all children.  AAUK’s mission is to empower thousands of children and enable them to take charge of their hope for a better future through education, now. The aim is to help create a culture of literacy and provide the tools of empowerment to the next generation of parents, teachers, and leaders in Africa.

To achieve our objectives, AAUK intend to provide local schools with:
